Accounts & Subscriptions
Get your subscription, switch devices, and keep your credentials secure. Find the relevant options in the user panel, and see the setup guide for client import instructions.
Do I need an email address to create an account? How should I keep my account details secure?
You can create a MeteVPN account with a username and password—no email address required. Store both in a trusted password manager, and use a unique password for this service rather than reusing one from another site. Treat your subscription link as a credential: don’t post it in public forums, shared documents, or screenshots. If you can’t sign in, check your username, keyboard input, and any spaces in your password. Never share your password or full subscription link with someone offering to troubleshoot.
Where can I find my subscription link, and how do I update it in my client?
Get your subscription after signing in to the user panel. Open the client and subscription section, then import it using the instructions for your platform. If you’ve already imported it, find the subscription or configuration in your client’s management settings and choose Update Subscription; reconnecting to the current route alone won’t refresh it. Once updated, check that the route list has refreshed, then connect to a route. Menu names vary by client, so refer to the relevant guide. If the update fails, check your account status and network connection before submitting the error message.
Do I need to choose a new plan when I switch devices? Which platforms are supported?
There’s no limit on the number of devices that can be online at the same time, and switching devices alone doesn’t require a new plan. MeteVPN supports Windows / macOS / iOS / Android / Linux. Sign in to the user panel on your new device and follow the platform instructions to get the client and subscription. On all platforms except iOS, you can access the client after signing in; access to the iOS download option depends on having an active plan. An unlimited number of devices does not mean unlimited data, so keep an eye on your plan’s remaining data and account status.
What should I do if I think my subscription link was exposed or I used my account on a public device?
Stop sharing any related screenshots or configuration files, remove saved subscription and account details from the public device, and check your data usage and account status in the user panel. If the panel offers a subscription reset option, reset it, replace the old link in your own client, and update the subscription. If you can’t find that option, sign in and submit a support ticket to confirm what to do. Deleting a local configuration alone doesn’t prove the old link is invalid. Change your account password if it may have been exposed, and check your subscription credentials separately from your sign-in credentials.
Connections & Troubleshooting
Check your local network, account status, client mode, and target app in turn. Change one setting at a time to see what makes a difference.
The client says it’s connected, but websites won’t load. What should I check first?
Temporarily disconnect the client and make sure your device’s regular network can reach websites. Reconnect, then test a different site. Check whether the client has the required system proxy or network-tunnel mode enabled, and confirm your plan status and remaining data in the user panel. If no sites work, try another route and check the connection logs. If only one site fails, check its regional requirements and your app rules. A connected status only shows that the connection process has progressed; it doesn’t confirm that websites are reachable.
Why does an app fail to use the proxy when websites work in my browser?
Apps handle network traffic differently. Some don’t use the system proxy, while others may be routed directly by your current rules. In the client, check which rule applies to the app or destination domain, then see whether the app has its own proxy settings. If the client offers a network-tunnel mode, follow its instructions to check permissions and routing, and avoid letting multiple network tools take over traffic at the same time. After changing settings, quit and reopen the app so new connections use the updated rules. Changing modes doesn’t guarantee that every app will work.
How do I troubleshoot a failed subscription update or an empty route list?
Sign in to the user panel and confirm your account and subscription status. Then check that the imported link is complete and that it wasn’t copied with extra spaces or missing characters at the end. Make sure you’re using an import method suited to your platform; a subscription link isn’t an ordinary web address, so opening it in a browser won’t tell you whether the configuration is valid. Keep your existing configuration, try a manual update in the client, and note whether the error is a connection timeout, a parsing issue, or an authentication problem. When submitting a support ticket, include a redacted error screenshot and the client name—not the full link.
My connection drops frequently. What information should I gather before contacting support?
Check whether the drops coincide with network changes, device sleep, or background power-saving settings. Also check whether other proxy or network-tunnel tools are running at the same time. Testing another route on the same device and in the same app can help distinguish a local issue from a route issue. In your support ticket, include your operating system, client name, selected region and route type, when the drops occur, and what happens on other routes. You can attach relevant log excerpts, but redact subscription links, account credentials, and personal content. A specific reproduction sequence is more useful than simply saying you can’t connect.
Speed & Routes
Choose a route based on your target region and actual use. See the Routes page for route types and region details.
My connection slows down at peak times. How should I compare routes?
Compare routes using the same destination you normally access, keeping your device, app, and local network consistent. Avoid judging performance while downloading a large file. Start with a nearby exit region, then compare different route types. Check whether pages load, videos buffer, or streamed output remains smooth over time—don’t rely on a single speed test. If switching routes makes no difference, check your local Wi-Fi, background syncing, and the destination service. Note when the issue occurs and which routes you tested, then include those details in a support ticket to help determine whether your connection path needs adjusting.
How do I choose between IEPL, transit, and direct routes?
These terms describe connection paths; they don’t guarantee a particular speed at every location or time. IEPL uses a dedicated network path, transit routes connect through intermediate nodes, and direct routes use a more direct path. Your experience also depends on your local carrier, exit region, and destination service. First check which regions the service supports, then compare available routes using your actual tasks. For longer sessions, prioritize connection stability and whether your tasks complete successfully rather than judging by the route name alone.
Which regions are available? Can I use AI tools and streaming services on all of them?
MeteVPN covers 120+ countries / 190+ routes. The available options are shown in the route list after you sign in. Coverage in a region doesn’t mean every AI tool or streaming title there will be available to your account. Services may also check your account region, billing details, exit IP, and usage, and may change their availability rules. Check the service’s official regional requirements before choosing a route, then verify access with your actual task. A one-time success with a streaming catalog or AI feature isn’t a guarantee of ongoing access.
Why do API requests or IDE plugins time out when web chat works?
Browsers, command-line tools, and IDE plugins may use different proxy settings, so being able to access a website doesn’t mean your development tools use the same connection path. Check the tool’s proxy options, runtime environment, and target API address, then identify whether the error is a network timeout, authentication failure, or service rate limit. Streaming output and long-lived connections can also be affected by timeout settings and connection drops, so check the client and tool logs. Don’t try to resolve every error by repeatedly switching regions, and never expose API credentials in public logs. For a more complete troubleshooting walkthrough, see the AI Complete Guide.

Billing & Refunds
Check the billing method and order before making plan changes. See the Plans page for full pricing.
How much does a monthly plan cost, and when does data reset?
Monthly plans are ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB, and ¥28/month for 500GB. Data resets monthly on your activation date, not at the start of the calendar month. Choose a data tier based on your actual needs, including video streaming, file transfers, and everyday browsing. While using the service, check your remaining data and account status in the user panel. If your plan expires or you run low on data, check the panel first; reimporting your subscription won’t add data.
What’s the difference between a data pack and a monthly plan, and how is a mid-cycle upgrade calculated?
Data packs cost ¥158/300GB, ¥358/1000GB, and ¥658/3000GB. They don’t expire and remain available until used. Monthly plans reset data on your activation date. Compare them based on your usage habits; a data pack isn’t a recurring monthly allowance. If you upgrade a monthly plan mid-cycle, the price difference is prorated based on the remaining days. Check the details in the user panel before proceeding. Don’t convert prices into unlisted billing periods or discounts. See the plans page for complete pricing and terms.
Which payment methods are supported? What if my user panel doesn’t update after payment?
MeteVPN supports Alipay / WeChat Pay / USDT. Create an order in the user panel and follow the payment instructions on the order page. After paying, return to the panel to check your order status, plan status, and data balance. If the payment result doesn’t match what the panel shows, keep your order details and payment receipt, and avoid creating and paying for duplicate orders. Use the support ticket option after signing in to share the payment method, order details, and message shown on the page. Redact personal information on your receipt; the outcome will be confirmed by checking the order.
How long is the refund period, and where can I request a refund?
MeteVPN offers a 60-day no-questions-asked refund. To request one, sign in to the user panel and submit a support ticket with your refund request and order details so the payment can be verified. You can review the full refund terms in the Terms of Service before submitting. Don’t post payment receipts or account passwords publicly, and never share your full subscription link for troubleshooting. If you can’t sign in, check your username and keyboard input using the account guidance. Check your ticket for updates on the refund; we don’t promise a specific processing time here.
